The front of this hoodie features graphics created by Raven Algwimu of Elsipogtog. The front of this hoodie contains two tomahawks as well as the sun and moon. The back of this hoodie features Raven’s interpretation of sun snake woman, a Mi’kmaq petroglyph found in Mi’kma’ki, along with sweetgrass, and star petroglyphs. The sleeves of the hoodie features a snake, a centipede, and Mi’kmaq petroglyphs of stars.
This hoodie was created to reflect traditional Mi’kmaq worldviews and Mi’kmaq snake magic/medicine. Traditionally Mi’kmaq people lived inter connectedly with the natural world and worshipped the sun and the moon.
This hoodie is machine washable, but if you’d like to preserve the graphic for as long as possible air drying is best, but it won’t totally destroy the graphic if you place in the dryer. Please refer to the sizing chart below for measurements.
